In 1973 Leo and Cecil Louis purchased the assets from their father and changed the name to Louis Industries Inc. They began to change the scope of the company from a general blacksmith shop to an OEM that produced a line of wood burning stoves, hog and cattle equipment, and doing general manufacturing.

In the early 1990s the focus of Louis Industries changed again and began to do more job shop work. As time evolved we bagan to get out of the manufacturing and OEM work and focus more on steel processing. In 1995 we purchased our first Laser and in 1999 we moved into our new 43,000 sq. ft. facility.

Today Louis Industries has one of the most modern steel processing facilities in the Midwest. We are currently equipped with 4 lasers, a turret blanking line, welding equipment, the latest in press brake technology, quality control and numerous support equipment.

In 2004, Lance Louis, along with long-time employee Kevin Wall, joined the company as minority owners. With the new ownership team in place, this will guarantee the long-term continuation of Louis Industries.
